Academy Sporting Goods. Wal-Mart’s selection has no comparison theirs. Be a good addittion to a sports and hunting centered town

  2. Stacy says:

Bed, Bath, Beyond. Best Buy. STEINMART!!!!!!!!!!!

  3. Abby says:

Barns and Nobel, Bed, Bath and Beyond, Target, Best Buy, Marshals, and Academy Sports and Outdoors. I’m positive Academy would do marvelous here considering we have lake Carl Blackwell and other nearby campsites. College students love camping trips. Well, at least I do, and with the outdoors club at OSU they would get crazy business here. BestBuy and Barnes and Nobel would be great too if it is close to the New Wal-mart. I would really hate to see them put near Hastings though, considering Hastings is so important to the college students and they would completely destroy business there. Come to think of it a Sams Club would be a great addition as well. I hate having to go to Tulsa just to use my Sams card.

Have any of you thought about a convention center? We have a beautiful OSU football stadium and a high school stadium that just adds so much to our community what about adding a beautiful convention center to Stillwater’s West Side. A convention center would be an asset and it would be a highly visible in that area was tourist come into town, plus give us all more entertainment options.

  5. Wilson says:

I agree that we need a second option for food and Kroger’s would is a nice choice.
Also K Mart would be nice, it is a store that STILL allows layaway therefore reducing credit card debt in this economy, plus it could be a super k mart with food. Target does not offer layaway

My husband would enjoy a pet mart

  6. Diane says:

Best Buy, Barnes & Noble and Bed, Bath and Beyond. An outlet mall has been mentioned several times. That is a great idea.

  7. Diane says:

Best Buy, Barnes & Noble and Bed, Bath and Beyond.

  8. Sarah says:

TARGET!!! A target that has groceries would be amazing.. Walmart does not have good produce and Target has way more options in general.

  9. Cody says:

    TARGET. Best Buy.

  10. Vicki says:

As much as I would love a Kohl’s and even a target, I would just like another grocery option other than Wal Mart. Kroger Foods would be great. When run correctly, Kroger Foods are clean and decently priced.

Kroger would be awesome. we moved here from Georgia and I really miss shopping at Kroger. They have wonderful selections and good prices and you can get money off their gas when you shop there.

  11. Sarah says:

    Target, TJ Maxx or Marshalls

  12. Robby says:

I would definitely love a Best Buy but I think Stillwater needs a decent clothing store like Banana Republic. Wooden Nickel is the only place I know of in town to get nice clothes and it’s way too expensive!

  13. Brad Thorpe says:

Target, Kohl’s, Toys’r’us/babies’r’us, BEST BUY…we need a multi purpose shopping center featuring these stores.

  14. Mike says:

I would like to see a really good sporting good store here in town, such as Sportsman’s Warehouse, which has good camping, fishing, and hunting gear. I wouldn’t mind a Cabellas, but realize that that might be asking too much, with Tulsa and OKC only and hour plus away.

  15. Matt says:

Please, Costco!! Target would be OK. Sick of shopping at Wal Mart…

  16. Mike and Denise says:

Target, Kohls, Marshalls, Mens Warehouse, Talbots, Coldwater Creek, Dillards, Bed Bath and Beyond …

  17. Anonymous says:

We truly need a best buy and a target wouldnt hurt

  18. Shelia Kennison says:

There are too few clothing stores for women. The stores we have do not have variety in types of clothing and sizes. Dillards would be nice to have or Talbots. There’s very little selection for women over the age of 30. I do most of my clothes shopping online because of the lack of options. I would prefer to shop in town. What about Coldwater creek and stores like crabtree & evelyn.

  19. Anonymous says:

There needs to be more clothing store for teens. Maybe like a Holister or Abercrombi.

  20. Anonymous says:

    Fry’s, Costco, Kohl’s, Children’s Place

I think a small outlet mall with about 10 – 15 stores would be a great hit, too.

Stillwaterites have been crying for a Target for decades.

  21. charlie says:

    Kohl’s, Sams, Home Depot, Target

  22. Laura says:

    Target please!!!!! And Costco!

  23. Jam says:

I think that since we already have rumors of a Target, (west of new walmart is “supposed” to be the local), I think we should have an OUTLET MALL. ( Eddie Bauer, Levi Store, Fashion Bug, etc. A SAMS/COSTCO would be nice as well.

  24. TEM says:

Target, Academy, Home Depot, Guitar Center, Best Buy, Dicks Sporting Goods, Marshall’s, Dillards, Cabellas, Bass Pro Shop

  25. Anonymous says:

+1 on the Academy or sports depot.

  26. JB says:

Academy or Champs….some kind of sporting goods store that has more of a broad assortment of merchadise thanwhat we have in Stillwater now.

  27. karyl says:

Super Target, Whole Foods, Kohl’s, Gordman’s.

  28. Jeremy says:

I think we should get a good sporting good store like academy!!!

  29. Jeremy says:

Academy would be really nice or a sports depot.

  30. Lil says:

    TJ Maxx, Tuesday Morning

  31. GP says:

Target would be a great option.

  32. Stephen says:

    Metropark – Best Buy

  33. Anonymous says:

    Fashion Bug would be great.

  34. Anonymous says:

There is already a Target planned for this area (a little farther west)….I thought

  35. Anonymous says:

shopping, shopping any kind really, clothes, electronics, home improvement, sporting goods store, you name it we could use it.

  36. Anonymous says:

Home Depot, Kohl’s, Toys R Us. Anything so that we don’t have to go to the City or Tulsa to shop.

  37. Derek says:

Best Buy! also…target and whole foods

  38. Anonymous says:

Gordmans would be nice…along with a Super Target….Kohl’s

  39. NK says:

    Best Buy would be nice.

  40. KM says:

    Best Buy and Target.

  41. MC says:

    Target, Kohls, Gordmans, TJ Maxx

  42. Joana says:

Whole foods and a target would be awesome.

    • admin says:

Do you think Whole Foods could be sustained here?

      • Nick says:

Probably not, but a Whole Foods is not the only trendy specialty grocer that exists. There is Trader Joe’s, Publix, HEB Central Market, etc etc… and let’s not forget that we already have the Crepe Myrtle Market downtown which does fairly well, and another ethnic grocer on Main north of 6th.

I think retail wise.. WE NEED TO STOP BEGGING FOR MORE CHAINS. Let’s keep Stillwater unique. Support local businesses and PREFER local businesses!

  43. James says:

Whole Foods would be great. They supply the best choices for healthy organic food. We have small health shops here but not to the extent of Whole Foods. We have to travel to Tulsa or OKC to get what we want.

  44. James says:

Home Depot, Target and Best Buy

  45. DS says:

    Home Depot, KOHLS.

  46. DS says:

A SAM’s would be good as well.

  47. DS says:

I think Stillwater could use a major eletronic store like Best Buy.

  48. Kristen Counts says:

Target has a lot of awesome selections and it would be a great compliment to Wal Mart.
