How about we build a nightlife? Perhaps a new real “club” and not just western bars. A place that plays other, more exotic music (electronic/trance music, for example). A clean sounding music, with a visually clean atmosphere for college students to go out, party, and not have to worry about getting lung cancer from cigarettes. A big city idea, I know, but as the diversity at OSU continues to grow, Stillwater needs to grow to accommodate it. In addition, the other ideas such as the convention center, new movie theater, and the mall would really work hand in hand with OSU’s expansion and renovation plans.
You have full support from me.I am European and I miss that a lot.I have to drive every weekend to Tulsa or OKC.I go to Dallas several time a year also to see some good DJs.There was several attempts for club,but they failed.I don’t get it ,with all these students from all over USA and the world.Young professionals like me will enjoy that too.Somebody needs to put some money in more than two speakers and amp.We need classy club/lounge for electronic dance music.If I had the money I would have done this myself long time ago.If somebody wants to do this,contact me.I have connections with many DJs in OKC and Tulsa.Also i work in the audio field.

I think people have so many great ideas you are not going to fit them all into the space by the new Wal-Mart lol. I think a convention center and water park, and a place with all sorts of activities like go-karts and the like would be great. We are always saying there is just not really much to do here. Would love to see more options.
I think everyone agrees we are in need of a new (clean) updated movie theater! Would be nice to have some different stores surrounding with good restaurant options. TJ Maxx, Marshalls would also do well here. I am tired of having to drive to Edmond, OKC, & Tulsa to shop somewhere other than Walmart… Would love to see a Super Target! Grocery store choices here are not good! (trying to be nice) Can’t find hardly any Organic choices. Have to drive to Tulsa once a week for GOOD food! Stillwater is a great place to live, but needs growth!!!!

I would love to see a water park with an outdoor movie theater for at night. I think OKC has one
Fix the area up like Fountain Square. Movie theater in the center. Book store and coffee shop on one side. McAllisters Deli on one side. If you build it THEY WILL COME! LOL GL and hope to spend my money there soon.
As a parent of two young children, I feel that we need a place for birthday parties. Other than White Barn and some of the gymnastic places in town, where else can a child have a birthday party here in Stillwater? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Stillwater needs more options for entertainment. We need a place where young adults, as well as, families can go to enjoy an afternoon. Right now your main options for entertainment are a movie theatre, bowling alley, golf, putt putt, and OSU sports. A scaled down Celebration Station would be a fun place for families and college students. An updated movie theatre or bowling alley (Red Pin) would be a good addition to Stillwater.
I would love to see someplace that let’s kids move around and exercise, while being with their friends and staying off the streets. . . . an indoor skateboard park with all of the ramps and stuff, an indoor ‘bucking bull’, indoor ropes course or other climbing area (walls, boulders, etc.), indoor soccer/basketball. . . someplace to go hang out, especially in wet or cold weather. Teens especially have been griping for years that there is nothing for them to ‘do’ around here. . . . the ice rink is a great idea (I hope it works out well). . . . .
Roller Rink! It would be great for kid parties and also I’m sure college students and HS students would get in on the fun and take there dates there for a fun time.

We need a good movie theatre. I am sick of driving to OKC to watch movies. I would commit to spending the travel savings on concessions.
A new movie theater is something that people have been wanting for a long time now. I think something along the lines of Red Pin in Bricktown would be really neat too. I love bowling, but our bowling ally here is pretty gross. Since Red Pin also has a full bar, I think it would do well in a college town.

We need a new movie theater! There is no question that everyone would go to a new theater if we had that option. Currently, many people drive to Tulsa or OKC for the sole purpose of not wanting to go to Stillwater’s current theater.

There is no doubt we need more to do around Stillwater. Other than going to dinner and a movie there isnt much else to do, entertainment wise. It would be great to have some kind of a convention center where concerts could be held. I think it would be a great idea to put something down town with live music and a fun atmosphere for everyone to enjoy.

We need a go-cart track that has several lanes for all ages and speeds.
